February 28, 2010 at 4:00 pm

Mark your calendars! The legendary pitcher and former New York Yankee Roger Clemens will be appearing at KatManDu, Trenton, New Jersey on February 28, 2010 at 4 pm to help raise funds for Allies Inc. - a registered and accredited 501 (c) (3) nonprofit company founded in 1999 with over 700 employees that serves the needs of thousands of individuals with disabilities living throughout New Jersey. Also appearing will be Ultimate Fighting Championship star and New Jersey's own Frankie Edgar! Also appearing will be the fantastic live dance cover band Jumper, VH - 1 Band Wars winner.
As a nonprofit company that relies mostly on government funding in order to operate, we occasionally hold fundraisers to generate much needed dollars in order for us to continue to better support the people we serve.
This is why YOUR SUPPORT is so important to us!
100% of your generous donations- be it the purchase of a single ticket or a sizable corporate or personal contribution- will go directly to Allies Inc. for use toward the people we serve.
All of us at Allies Inc., and the many people we serve throughout New Jersey, sincerely appreciate your time, effort and donation to make this night possible. From the bottom of our hearts,
WE THANK YOU!

Where Your Donation Goes

Your donation will go directly to Allies Inc. Monies will be apportioned accordingly so that the individuals with special needs we serve can benefit best.

Below are the specific uses of the funds:

--Daily living necessities either NOT covered or only partially covered by government funding. Examples are food, rent / mortgage, clothing, toiletries, wheelchair / equipment repairs, transportation, cell phone, etc.
--Transportation fees (gas, tolls, plane fares, rental of bus line, etc.) to transport individuals to location(s) of need or interest. This could be a baseball game, a hospital or doctor's office, a field trip to a zoo or aquarium, or an educational weekend trip away.
--Support staff accompanying individuals on daily basis (sign language interpreters, seeing-eye guides, one-on-one personal assistants for consumers who need toileting or assistance getting around, etc.) Generally, there is a support staff to consumer ratio of 1 to 4. However, some disabled individuals require one-on-one support from staff.
--The purchasing of tickets to an event or location visited by the folks we serve (zoo, baseball game, field trip, etc.)
--Partial legal fees used to assist the individuals we serve who may not have the financial resources themselves to hire attorneys to provide freedom and independence to their lives.
